e-Ucare - Connecting health solutions in Europe
Assistive Robotics Day
Placed by Lissa van der Heijden for e-Ucare at 2014-04-07
1st Assistive Robotics Day at ESIGELEC
ESIGELEC, a French Engineering School, Jules Verne University of Picardie and the University of Limoges organize a theme day on assistive robotics.
The Assistive Robotics Day will take place on 15 May 2014 from 9:30 a.m to 5 p.m in the IRSEEM-CISE premises in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray (Upper Normandy). This event is supported by the Robotics Research Group (GDR Robotique), the Health Research Group (GDR STIC Santé) and the COALAS (Cognitive Assistive Living Ambiant System) Interreg IV A program.
The ARD will deal with several themes related to assistive robotics, including man-robot interaction or assisted indoors-outdoors mobility, through conferences, presentations and demonstrations. A call for papers will also give researchers the opportunity to present their work.
The COALAS project, co-financed by the Interreg IV A France (Channel) – England European program, aims at improving the quality of life of people with reduced autonomy by relying on recent advances in robotics.
