e-Ucare - Connecting health solutions in Europe
Report of Symposium 3 on Open Innovation in Healthcare
Placed by Lissa van der Heijden for e-Ucare at 2014-12-11
The third and last symposium of Health Cluster Europe took place in Rouen (France) on December 3, 2014 during the CareTECH event. The theme of the symposium was ‘Open Innovation in Healthcare’.
The symposium started with a plenary session including presentations of representatives of projects active in Health Cluster Europe. In addition, the Brainport Open Innovation model was discussed and the strength of cooperation. After the plenary session, a representative of the Cooperative Slimmer Leven 2020 elaborated on what had been discussed and added another aspect of cooperation which is crucial for successfully implementing health innovations: namely to involve end-users in an early stage of the development process. The audience was then divided into groups in order to discuss their own projects based on the people canvas model. In this model, they put the people they develop for first.
